Psychosomatic Features of Menstrual Cycle Disorders in Women of Reproductive Age

An increase in the number of stress factors infl uencing the everyday life of women in Ukraine has
a signifi cant impact on the nature of menstrual function and, consequently, on their reproductive
health. The article describes the mechanisms of central and peripheral infl uence of menstrual
cycle disorders in women of reproductive age. Parallels between the peculiarities of prolactin
synthesis and prolactin-secreting cells on the appearance of menstrual cycle disorders are drawn.
The peculiarities of regulation of prolactin synthesis are described in detail. The classifi cation of
polycystic ovarian syndrome is described and the analysis of the clinical manifestation of diff erent
phenotypes of this disease and the peculiarities of the evaluation of instrumental and laboratory
examination data are presented. Proposed methods for the correction of abnormal functioning
of the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian system using a preparation that contains the fruits of Vitex
agnus-castus – Biocycline.
